When can I eat Matsuba crab in Fukuoka?
From November to March, in our Matsuba Crab & Seasonal Flavours course and the Matsuba Crab Full Course. Seiko crab is served from October to March, and live hairy crab from Hokkaido from spring to autumn, so there is a crab kaiseki here all year round.
Is this a crab restaurant?
We serve Japanese kaiseki built around crab. Rather than crab simply boiled and served, each dish takes the hand of Japanese cuisine: the clear soup, sashimi, shabu-shabu in crab miso, rice from the donabe pot. Handmade soba is served too.
How much does a meal cost?
Dinner courses start at ¥24,000. The Seiko Crab course is ¥30,000, the Matsuba Crab course ¥48,000 and the Matsuba Crab Full Course ¥96,000. Lunch starts at ¥16,500 (planned from November). All course prices include tax and service. Drinks carry a 10% service charge on the tax-inclusive price.
Is there a private room?
There is one private room, for up to ten guests. A room charge of ¥6,050 per room, tax and service included, applies in the evening. There are six counter seats, with no seating charge.

Are there menus in English, Chinese and Korean?
Menus are available in Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese and Korean. Service in the restaurant is in Japanese and English.
How do I get there from Tenjin or Nakasu-kawabata?
6 minutes on foot from Tenjin-minami Station (Nanakuma Line), 6 minutes from Nakasu-kawabata Station (Kuko Line), and 8 minutes from Kushida-jinja-mae Station (Nanakuma Line). We are on the third floor of the Ren Round Building, 3-20 Nishinakasu, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka.
What if I have an allergy, or ingredients I would rather avoid?
Crab runs through the whole course. Please tell us of any allergy, or any ingredient you would rather avoid, when you reserve.
Can I bring children?
Children are welcome at lunch. In the evening we welcome children of primary school age and above.
Is there a cancellation charge?
Cancellations from three days before the reservation date are charged at 80%; the day before and on the day, at 100%. Courses featuring Matsuba crab, and seasonal courses, are charged at 100% from three days before.
